The Boeing Company is searching for a Programmer Analyst - Senior Level to lead a team supporting the Maintenance Engineering verticals in Seal Beach, CA.
The technical lead role is critical to success of overall customer support operations by ensuring that IT systems and processes are developed and maintained in compliance with enterprise standards and are secure to enable efficient and effective operations.
The candidate selected for this role will provide end-to-end technical solution leadership and business process alignment through the delivery and sustainment of the software applications. The successful candidate for this role should have strong leadership and communication skills and be a self-starter that can guide the team of programmers through the completion of projects.
Gather and analyze business requirements and design and develop complex software solutions that meet end user requirements
Apply software development knowledge and skills, follow standard processes for release and configuration management
Communicate effectively across the entire team, adapt quickly to changing requirements and have a strong customer focus
Provide leadership for developing and designing technical solutions by evaluating and identifying alternative solutions and recommendations for the most efficient and cost-effective application programming solutions and system architecture
Troubleshoot production issues and provide on-going support
Develop and execute unit test cases to ensure maximum code coverage
Provide guidance and training to junior team members and conduct code reviews as needed
Develop and maintain technical documentation per project standards
Work across time zones with a geographically dispersed team of developers
Adherence to SAFe agile development approach
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience leading software development projects
Experience with full-stack development
Experience using SQL for application interactions with databases (i.e. Oracle, MYSQL, SQL Server, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with front-end web development (i.e. Angular)
Experience working across time zones with a geographically dispersed team of developers
Experience with GIT lab CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools
Experience with migrating applications to Cloud platform
Experience designing and developing web services and APIs
Typically 9 or more years' related work or military experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
