This role is to provide Quality Assurance support to the Defence Information and Training Services programs This is a key role in providing quality assurance against ISO9001 standards. Boeing Defence UK Ltd is looking to appoint a Quality Specialist to take responsibility for the provision of Quality Assurance and Compliance monitoring of the Defence Information Services Programs. This is a full-time role based at Bristol with hybrid working options.
BDUK’s Quality Management System (QMS) is approved by the MAA and meets the requirements of DAOS, MAOS and CFAOS. The BDUK’s QMS is also certified to ISO9001:2015, ISO27001 and ISO44001 aswell as AS9100D and AS9110C. The company plans to extend these accreditations to new sites and seek additional certifications in support of its diverse growing business needs.
The Quality Specialist will essentially be responsible for contributing to the maintenance of the current certifications and supporting the delivery of new ones as the company grows. The Quality Specialist will be a member of the Assurance, Approvals & Site Supplier (AASS) Quality function and report on Quality matters to the Bristol AASS Quality Lead and Quality Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assurance and CAMO Quality Manager, the role has the following key responsibilities:
Act as primary quality point of contact for Defence Information Services nonconformities and corrective Actions
Responsible for planning and supporting Key Customer and Supplier joint meetings
Completion of assigned audits within the assigned and agreed timescales in line with the Audit plan
Completion of audits against the established audit criteria specified in the audit plan
Recording of Audits and Informing auditee of audit result and any non-conformances
Delivery of quality induction briefing to new personnel as required
Data collection and production of the slide pack for the Corrective Action Board (CAB)
Chairing the Corrective Action Board and assisting actionees
Provide SME advice for completion of CAs including the requirements for containment, Immediate Action, investigations, RCCA, CA plan and verification
Production and distribution of any actions identified during the CAB
Attend Engineering Gate Reviews
Engineering Lifecycle knowledge
Computer Literate
Required Qualifications/Experience:
Desirable Education/Experience
HNC in an Aerospace/Engineering discipline
Experience Aerospace / Defence background
Lead/ Internal Auditor AS9100 /ISO9001
Knowledge of MAA Regulations
Defence Standards
Quality Management techniques
Continuous Improvement Techniques and Management
