The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Contract Management Specialist to join their organization and support the contracts team in Hazelwood, MO.
The Transactional Contracts & Pricing team has a Team Lead position available for US Government or International/Commercial customers. USG customers include DLA, USAF, USN and others across all Boeing military aircraft. Some of the international/commercial customers include: Korea, Japan, Turkey, Singapore, L-3 and NGC, across all Boeing military aircraft. This team lead will be managing the day-to-day tasks of ~10 employees, including coaching/mentoring team members to build the full range of Contracts & Pricing technical skills. This position also has a strong focus on identifying and implementing cross-functional process improvements to harvest opportunities to create value.
Position Responsibilities:
RFP/PPOA review, proposal pricing and development, order review, and interfacing with internal/external customers to address emerging issues
As a member of the Acquire organization and Program/Business Management teams, conducts and leads proposal development and negotiation, as well as providing contracting expertise to develop and negotiate creative business solutions for new spare business.
Represents the company to diverse customers, including U.S. Government, commercial, international and public/private institutions.
Coaches/Mentors team members to build the full range of Contracts & Pricing technical skills.
Authorized to exercise commitment/signature authority in accordance with formal delegation to negotiate and contract for the sale or development of high performance defense and aerospace products and services (e.g., aircraft, missiles, spacecraft and launch vehicles).
Submits offers and serves as official Boeing representative to the customer. Develops and/or maintains effective working relationships with customer counterparts and the next level within the customer organization.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Interprets contract requirements, manages change and resolves conflict.
This position works closely with internal/external customers, Engineering, Procurement Financial Analysis, Financial Planning, Scheduling and other internal functional partners.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher
3+ years experience in proposal development and contract negotiations
3+ years experience drafting, negotiating, and executing highly complex contracts and subcontracts
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
