Boeing is looking for a Senior Regulatory Program Integration Engineer (Level 5) to support Development and Production programs for leadership directed projects. This position can be based out of Everett, Washington or Renton, Washington.
This position offers the potential to broaden skills and experience across multiple engineering disciplines. The candidate must be willing to stretch beyond their experience base and lead where process definition may not exist or is unclear. The job requires an individual who is self-motivated, able to work under consultative direction, has excellent people skills, and has the ability to negotiate, build consensus, and deliver results.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide technical, business and integration leadership, and program/project management for Regulatory Administration on certification issues requiring cross-functional and cross-organization coordination and integration
Developing requirements and Statement Of Work (SOW) to satisfy ongoing and new business requests, working with customers, the Federal Aviation Administration, other regulatory agencies as well as management to obtain approval, developing integrated plans, establishing and leading teams, monitoring and responding to technical developments, risk management, and managing cost/schedule aspects of projects to closure
Have a solid technical background in at least one of the following disciplines: Airframe, Flight Sciences, Interiors, Systems, Propulsion and an understanding of certification processes
Demonstrated record of successful management of complex airplane level integration projects from concept to in-service implementation, technical accomplishment, leadership, and good oral and written communication skills
This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Technical leadership experience
3+ years of experience in project management
3+ years of certification experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in project management and/or certification
Experience in communicating with leadership
Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
