The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in **_Heath, OH**_. As part of Strategic Deterrence Systems (SDS), the Boeing Guidance Repair Center in Heath, Ohio, is responsible for the repair, refurbishment, test and calibration of navigation and guidance systems found on nuclear-capable platforms, including the Minuteman. SDS teams centered in Ogden, Utah, keep the Minuteman and associated systems operational and support flight tests.
The Boeing-built Minuteman intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) weapon system has served as the Nation's trusted and enduring ground-based leg of the nuclear triad since the inception of strategic deterrence.
Boeing is the U.S. Air Force's original partner in strategic deterrence. Today, hundreds of Boeing employees across the country continue to maintain the readiness of the Minuteman ICBM keeping it safe, secure, and effective around the clock.

The Test Equipment Engineering team maintains, modifies, and updates the specialized test equipment required to support the various items for these programs. Support the whole site, software upgrades, software updates, only has a few software engineers on the team. Knowledgeable to test software for different mechanisms as well as write system programs if they need upgraded. This strong team is in need of an experienced software engineer to help write new and modify existing software code, mainly on the ICBM Program.

Assist in writing new software code or modify code mainly on the ICBM program
This position allows telecommuting. (Hybrid) The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Heath, Ohio)
**T**his position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.**** An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):**
Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science
At least 5+ years of programming experience
5+ years of proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer.
Knowledge of selected programming languages (e.g. LabVIEW, C, Fortran, C++).
**Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills / Experience):**
Broad experience incorporating modifications to legacy test equipment systems that have limited documentation.
Experience with Model Based Systems/Software Engineering _highly preferred_
Extensive experience in software development, documentation creation/release and project management.
Experience with LabVIEW RealTime development architecture.
Experience with LabVIEW FPGA development and a thorough understanding of FPGA architectures.
**Typical Education / Experience:**
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
