The Boeing Maritime Undersea organization seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to join the Mission Systems Operations team located in Herndon, Virginia.
As a member of the Mission Systems Operations Team, you are an integral part in developing hardware and software solutions for proprietary programs for our client. We translate customer needs into detailed requirements for system integrated designs including system architectures for current operations and program growth, facility design, hardware selection, software selection and development, system integration, testing, and operations and maintenance (O&M).
Rotating shift-work is required at times in direct support of the customer’s operations tempo; shift differential is paid based on shift schedule coverage. Candidates must be able to adapt in an exciting, dynamic operational environment while maintaining relationships with system stakeholders and customers.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Herndon, VA area.
This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Candidate must have an active Full Scope Polygraph (FS).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Typical Education & Experience
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.
This position is for 1st shift.
The candidate must be willing to work variable shifts when necessary, including weekends and overtime.
Shift differential is paid based on shift schedule coverage.
