We are looking for Summer Worker Java Developers to join Team in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Title:

Make the Planner Applications and Processes More Stable and Future Proof

No of open positions: 2

Background:

Our team is building desktop applications based on Eclipse RCP used in airlines Operation Control Center. An OOC is the place where an airline keep track of its aircraft and crew members at all times and makes sure flights departs on time. The applications are server/client solutions. We see a need to improve our applications in several areas.

Time period:

6-10 weeks,or as agreed.

Job description
Depending on the candidate(s) skills and interests you will pick tasks from our backlog.
For example:

• Add metrics to the application for better understanding of the usage

• Refactor existing code to follow new patterns

• Add test coverage

• Improve localization capabilities

You will be part of an agile team who will introduce you to our product, environment and context to onboard you and support you during the summer assignment.
You will have possibility to work independently with well-defined tasks with close support from the team. Most of the time the team is working remote using video calls to communicate.
 

 Preferred Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills):

• A curious mindset with a sense of quality and accuracy.
• Moderate knowledge in Java and/or Python as programming languages.
• Familiar with Linux as OS.
• Advantage if you know Eclipse as IDE.
