Boeing Global Services is searching for a Supply Chain Specialist (SCS) (Level 3) to support our Modification Services Business. The SCS would be responsible to manage and oversee Top Kit Requirements at a program level and/or execute purchase orders to Internal Fabrication business partners. The SCS is expected to effectively manage supply/demand, schedules, delivery, analyze post production supply chain data, and coordinate/communicate across the supply chain with various disciplines and functions. Ideal candidates demonstrate competency in supply chain environments with the ability to resolve complex issues and discrepancies.
This role will be based out of our Dallas, TX facility.
Leads and administers post production requests for quotes containing long lead times, high value and/or lengthy bills of material.
Enters, tracks, monitors and coordinates customer material and delivery requirements.
Leads and monitors customer allocation and delivery schedules and projections for significant customers.
Executes purchase orders to internal business partners and manages supply, schedules, supplier quality, delivery, and performance. Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into business processes.
Anticipate important or critical events, identifying resource requirements and assigning responsibility for specific work, including deadlines and performance expectations.
Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
Drives decisions that support internal/external programs, customers and product/order commit dates
Optimizes execution of the supply chain, balancing inventory, supply orders and scheduled demands
Provide Mods Program timely communication, leadership and continuous process improvement.
Adaptable, able to work in a constant change and fast paced environment.
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Dallas, TX
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
More than 3 years of experience in supply chain management or supplier management
More than 3 years of experience working in a multi-functional team environment
Experience in data analysis
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office tool suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment is highly desired
Experience implementing process and/or strategy improvements and an applied understanding of Lean
Experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes
Communication skills, collaboration, and customer focus are critical to be successful in the role
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.)
