Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for an Experienced System Engineer to join the team at The Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Boeing Defense, Space & Security's (BDS) X-37B is the United States' most advanced, state-of-the-art reentry spacecraft. Boeing is the prime contractor for the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV), an unmanned space vehicle that is used by the United States Air Force to explore reusable space vehicle technologies in support of long-term space objectives. Objectives of the X-37B program include space experimentation, risk reduction, and concept of operations development. Managed by Experimental Systems Group (ESG), a unit of Boeing Space and Launch Systems, the X-37B is a flexible, affordable and responsive platform balancing the characteristics of a spacecraft and an aircraft. Coordinate test engineers to define and develop integrated test configuration drawing sets to sufficiently define operational test configurations andrelease successfully reviewed drawings prior to test conduct.
Complete all Test Configurationdesignsand drawings assigned to enable efficientTest efforts, including order requests for necessary components prior to release of engineering drawings.

This position requires an active Top Secret SSBI U.S. Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). Clearance and program access are required pre-start.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or any technical field
Systemengineering and Testexperience
Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required pre-start; Successful completion of a Tier 5 (T5) Investigation (formerly SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years or enrolled in a continuous evaluation program.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with narrowband and wideband RF systems
Experience with directional, omni, and dGPS antennas
Experience with communication (Comm) terminals
Experience working with digital and RF components and circuitry is desired.
Experience with telemetry and command ground hardware is desired
Experience with RHEL
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
