We’re committed to fostering an environment for every teammate that’s welcoming, respectful and inclusive, with great opportunity for professional growth. Find your future with us.
As one of the country's leading and preferred defence partners, Boeing in Australia develops and sustains leading-edge technologies for some of Australia's largest and most complex defence projects.
Recently identified as one of the top 20 places to work in Australia by Randstad, Boeing is undergoing significant growth and is looking for a committed and passionate Global Trade Controls (GTC) Specialist to join our Australian GTC team on a permanent basis.
The Australian GTC team supports Australia's largest and most active defence importer/exporter, with unparalleled direct reach back into US-based trade control expertise. Boeing has set the bar in Australia for trade control excellence, and works collaboratively with our US counterparts; the US Government and our Australian Government regulators and industry peers to support further growth and excellence in trade control management, nationally.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
This role will see you learn our particular business requirements and take the lead on matters relating to trade controls across multiple disciplines within both the Commercial and Defence space. As part of growth and development for each individual within our team you will have the opportunity to work with Australian export requirements, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS).
The role is an integral support role for our GTC team within our Boeing Australian entities, so we will be investing in training for the right person to cover any specialist knowledge gaps and to make sure you have the right support on a day-to-day basis. Previous exposure to or knowledge of managing things within the ITAR, EAR, FMS or DCS space is desirable but not required. The role may be based in Adelaide, Amberley, Brisbane, Canberra, Port Melbourne, Sydney, or Williamtown.
We are looking for someone who is willing to work autonomously, remotely as needed and in an interdisciplinary GTC team. If you are keen to join us, you must be able to self-manage your time under multiple deadlines while always professionally representing the business. You will need to be a professional who is experienced in working collaboratively with others, including our program teams as they develop new cutting-edge systems and exciting new technologies. Your aim in this role is to willingly support and uphold our trade control compliance requirements, while providing specialist knowledge when requested or required.
