Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is hiring a Weapon Simulator Systems Design Engineer (Level 2) to work in our Direct Attack organization, at our St. Charles, MO location. This position participates in development of electronic architecture and detailed specifications for various electronic products. Participates in development of detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications. Conducts various methods of testing and analysis to support design. Participates in the build and test of laboratory prototypes, and the verification of performance to requirements.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Maintains detailed requirements and specifications for various electronic products.
Develops detailed designs of limited scope.
Conducts various methods of testing and analysis to support design.
Gathers data for technical performance measures and performs basic analysis.
Provides basic engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product.
Conducts trade studies and literature research to support future product designs.
Works under general supervision.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is require.)
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics.
1+ years of experience as an Electrical/Electronic Design Engineer.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Have held an active U.S. security clearance within the past 24 months.
Experience with electronics assembly design and test.
Experience with industry and military standard digital electronic interface formats.
Experience developing Acceptance Test Procedures.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
