Job Description:
The Wealth Management Client Care (WMCC) Business Controls & Engagement – Sr. Business Control Specialist Risk Oversight Role will support a portfolio of risk functions for the WMCC Risk and Business Controls Team; including Operational Loss and Near Miss, Information Security, Enterprise Data Incident Management (eDIM), Employee Satisfaction (ESAT), Business Communications, Executive Reporting and coordination of Monthly Risk Review Routines.
The Sr. Business Control Specialist will be responsible for engaging with risk, compliance and Line of Business partners to implement internal controls in key risk areas of Operational Loss and Near Miss, Information Security and Data Management. The associate is expected to analyze these current state processes and corresponding policies to ensure adherence to LRRs. A critical requirement of this role is to ensure timely identification of potential gaps and opportunities to strengthen controls and then execute on those improvements. Additionally, the role will support ESAT initiatives and communications across the WMCC Risk and Business Controls organization. Strong partnership with Line of Business teams, Finance, HR and GCOR will be required.
The strongest candidates will have a passion for investigating, problem solving whilst synthesizing information into meaningful recommendations. The candidate should have creative writing, strength in building partnerships and proven effective communication with both verbal and written styles. The ability to pay attention to the details for a qualitative deliverable (executive reporting) is a must to produce clear, concise conclusions and documentation.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of Wealth Management Client Care Processes
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in risk management or Business controls experience
Strong business partnering experience/skills including ability to interact, communicate and influence at all levels of the organization
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills to varying audience levels
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, effectively manage priorities, and communicate progress
Self-starter, works well independently and demonstrates initiative
Demonstrates and applies high analytical ability
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Proven ability to independently identify and drive process improvements
Superior presentation and communication skills at the executive level (written and verbal)
Detail oriented with ability to interpret data and compile it into value-added information for leaders
Ability to work in team environment
Desired Skills:
2-3 years industry experience - working familiarity with regulatory, audit, and/or compliance disciplines
Experience with leading Employee Engagement routines; leading positive morale across a business segment
Leadership experience (preferred)
Bachelors Degree in Business Management or Finance
