What You'll Do
BCG is looking for Project Leader and Principal consultants to help financial institutions address their most difficult challenges within capital markets using strategies that maximize growth, transform business models and create sustainable competitive advantage. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in capital markets and in strategy consulting.
Project Leaders play a key role on client engagements, managing studies to define client needs and supervising research activities to obtain relevant data. Project Leaders oversee the formulation of hypotheses for research and investigation, and the advanced financial analysis of client, competitor, and industry data. They apply knowledge of business principles and industrial organization, develop actionable recommendations, and supervise work including strategic due diligence, product development studies, change management plans, and the evaluation of long-term investment opportunities. Project Leaders are also responsible for managing client contact and play a key role in the development and maintenance of high-level client relationships.
As the senior person most frequently at the client site, Principals interact with the client lead on a day-to-day basis to ensure that expectations are aligned. Principals provide the project management oversight required to meet client expectations. Responsibilities may include the development of presentations, managing of external relationships and consultant work progress, providing status reports, and overseeing budgets.
Projects vary based on client needs, but the importance of seeing possibilities where other people find limits will be a constant. Project Leaders and Principals go deep to unlock insight, challenge established thinking, drive transformation, improve performance, and deliver bottom-line impact.
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
As a senior consultant working in Capital markets, you will have:
- Knowledge and experience with one or more asset classes including equity, fixed income, derivatives, structured products, securities financing, etc..
- Knowledge and experience of front to back trading lifecycle of one or more asset classes (above)
- Knowledge of financial market infrastructure and ecosystem of one or more asset classes (above)
- Knowledge of regulatory environment (market, self-regulation, and prudential requirements) covering global markets activities
- Experience in market and/or counterparty risk management covering global markets
- Experience in client and product strategy, client service models, digital platforms,
- Knowledge of key industry technology / digital trends (distributed ledger, AI/ML, cloud computing, etc.)
- 4+ years experience gained either as a management consultant, strategy roles at a bank, or business line client relationship
