About the role:

The Manager, Business Continuity will manage the development and implementation of an effective global business continuity strategy and program to mitigate risk, safeguard the organization's human assets, intellectual property, integrity, reputation and physical assets to ensure continuity of operations under the leadership of the VP, Global Security & Resiliency.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading the development and implementation of a corporate-wide business continuity plan that assesses current threats and vulnerabilities, identifying goals, recovery objectives and metrics consistent with corporate strategic objectives, and detailing the efficient and cost-effective implementation of operational disruption mitigation efforts.
• Managing the strategic direction and providing leadership and mentorship for critical process owners and continuity plan stewards across the business continuity program for all production facilities and critical enterprise functions within the corporation.
• Developing policies, objectives, budgets, plans, procedures and schedules for the business continuity function and implement Fusion Risk Management, Boston Scientific's enterprise BC tool. Working with the Enterprise Risk team to conduct control audits and evaluate work standards and performance levels ensuring uniformity, effectiveness and appropriate staffing levels to maintain operational continuity.
• Developing BC training programs and conduct training exercises to ensure organizational preparedness for operational disruption events and to raise employee awareness.
• Creating a close partnership with the IT infrastructure team and integrate disaster response planning into the BC process where possible.
• Assisting where needed in coordinating cross-functional efforts with Real Estate and Facilities, Legal, Human Resources, Privacy & Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Finance (Sarbanes/Oxley), Senior Enterprise Management and Information Technology to provide thorough analysis of resiliency risks and development of appropriate mitigating strategies.
• Assisting in stabilizing compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and staying knowledgeable of current trends in the security/resliency industry.
• Creating a clear link between the emergency management program and the business continuity program to enable a seemless transition from emergency response to operational continuity including long-term displacement strategies.
• Integrating supply chain resiliency efforts, including vendor risk assessments, into the continuity management process.

What we're looking for:

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree
• 10 years of career experience; minimum 6 years of experience managing large, corporate business continuity, security and crisis management programs
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and tasks
• Detail oriented to ensure accuracy and results focused
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels
• Experience with business continuity best practices, plans, and disaster recovery tests;
• Technical experience and experience working with IT teams of developers, analysts, architects and engineers, and operational areas;

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree
• Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP), Certified Functional Continuity Planner (CFCP),
• Experience working with IT team through integration of new BC tool
