About the role:
The Group Marketing Manager (GMM) is responsible for leading the development and coordination of an implanter strategy for the WATCHMAN FLX device, as well as leading the development and execution of a competitive marketing strategy. Success will require working across the WATCHMAN marketing team, as well as with cross-functional partners to develop and execute optimal strategies.
The GMM will lead a team of direct reports and will influence/collaborate with cross-functional and partners throughout the organization to ensure we have success with the WATCHMAN therapy. The individual will work very closely with a strong and experienced sales channel to drive key marketing initiatives including: message prioritization, channel coordination, account segmentation, and competitive blunting
Your responsibilities include:
- Lead, develop and build a strong marketing team focused on developing and executing effective marketing strategies
- Develop and lead marketing strategy and implementation for competitive marketing and the implanter strategy
- Influence across the matrix with leaders from various functions including marketing, sales leadership, and sales operations
- Engages actively with key stakeholders. Establish strong relationships with marketing partners and key cross-functional partners
- Attracts, hires, develops and retains top marketing talent within the WATCHMAN Marketing team. Measures performance of direct reports against success criteria and provides feedback.
- Champions a culture of patient centricity, internal and external customer collaboration, diversity & inclusion, ethics, compliance and winning spirit.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (Masters, MBA) is preferred
- Minimum 5 years in marketing, consulting or other relevant experience. Minimum 3 years of medical device marketing experience preferred.
- Lead a team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports.
- Experience developing and executing competitive marketing strategies
- Experience working downstream with a large device sales force with proven ability dive mindshare in order to execute and implement initiatives
- Must be highly motivated with an action-oriented mindset and the ability to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues.
- Track record of leading the creation of marketing tools that drive effective competitive positioning
Excellent project management/execution and organizational skills
Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous people management a plus.
- Travel 30%, assuming return to normalcy following pandemic. Travel will be restricted during pandemic.
