About the role:
This position works independently to assist R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.
Your responsibilities include:
- Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts.
- Utilize basic mechanical drawings or CAD software to document prototypes and fixtures.
- Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts.
- Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
- Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
- Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
- Act as a resource to other employees.
- Communicate project status to project teams.
- Performs mostly non-routine technical assignments requiring basic interpretation of established procedures.
- Assists in the design, development, evaluation or modification of all area-specific equipment, materials, systems, and/or product. Assignments require broad judgment in troubleshooting proven processes as well as the ability to suggest alternatives.
What we’re looking for:
Qualifications
- Associates Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Knowledge in inventory tracking systems a plus.
- Experience in medical device industry a plus.
