About the role:
The Sr. Marketing Strategy & Analysis Manager is responsible for managing the high-quality execution of significant portions of projects that inform and drive critical business decisions or support global marketing excellence in the Neuromodulation Division at Boston Scientific. She/he is expected to develop relationships with internal business partners, perform market research and creative analytics to develop compelling recommendations, and provide excellent management of his/her projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for working with Neuromodulation franchise teams to develop high impact marketing and business strategies. He/she will rapidly become an expert on the points of view and processes for understanding the marketplace, identifying market trends and growth opportunities, diagnosing customer needs and behaviors, predicting likely competitive dynamics, and analyzing the economics of the business so that marketing can make effective choices to maximize competitive advantage.
• He/she will conduct market and product opportunity assessment, strategy formulation and valuation for: New products developed in-house; Potential acquisitions; Growth opportunities/performance improvement strategies for existing businesses.
• Strong relationship development/collaboration with brand marketing resources, as well as a broad set of other stakeholders Including R&D, finance, clinical, business development, and sales.
• Development and implementation of structured, practical, fact-based approach to strategy development, valuation, and business plans.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Integration of broad corporate/divisional business performance needs into franchise level decision-making.
• Collaboration with marketing and sales to ensure tactics are clearly linked to strategy, and creatively developed with overall strategy in mind.
• Excellent project management.
• Conducting and/or directing vendors in market analysis and research to answer senior management questions about the business.
• Helping to build strong Marketing Strategy competency within the franchises.
• Ensuring day-to-day Marketing Strategy activities effectively support strategic choice development and revenue objectives.
• Implementing marketing strategy processes and sharing knowledge about those processes.
• Working with franchise teams and central resources to identify and implement optimal research support processes.
• Coordinating efforts to ensure global consistency.
What we’re looking for in you:
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Healthcare/Biomedical required
- 5+ years of experience in consulting, business strategy/analytics, product marketing, or market research experience in the healthcare field required
- MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred
Experience in consulting, market research, business strategy/analytics or product marketing experience in the healthcare field required
Outstanding interpersonal skills including developing relationships at all levels in an organization and indirectly influencing business objectives
