Shift Leader

Hours: 7:00pm - 7:00am

3 days on, 2 days off, 2days on (rotating basis) Every other weekend

About the role:

The Shift Leader is responsible for assisting the Production Supervisor in maintaining a positive environment, which provides Safe, Quality and efficient Sterilization of Boston Scientific Medical Devices. Shift Leaders assist in training, process knowledge and education, encouraging safe work practices, and a demonstrated commitment to Coventry Behaviors. This position can direct the work leads of the Assistant Operator III and Assistant Operators II’s on shift. Duties include safe operation of processing equipment in accordance with operating regulations and procedures and assuring proper care of Boston Scientific product.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Complete and Maintain EtO Operator Certification
• Effectively lead while the Supervisor or Manager is not present
• Monitor and foster training and development of new employees on shift
• Lead each shift by delegating duties, assigning tasks, and following up with all team members
• Be proficient in all aspects of EtO Process operations
• Act with integrity
• Effective communication between shifts for ongoing issues while keeping supervisors in loop
• Effective communication with techs/engineers to execute test runs, maintenance (work order process) and with quality for any processing issues
• Manage time effectively and meet all job responsibilities
• Maintain a positive work environment for team members
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
• Troubleshoot issues with cycles
• Awareness of equipment status, maintain current information (communication board, daily checklist, etc.)
• Understand core 5 goals and keep team on target
• Train new team members in all areas (depth on the bench)
• Assist with inbound/outbound scheduling (weekend/after-hours rescheduling, preparing Sunday into Monday outbound sheet)
• CI weekly meeting participation
• CI assignments (identified during stand-up meeting)
• Drive shift cleaning
• Identify OFI in procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and 5S organization
• Ensure all records are 100% adherent to GDP policy
• Minimizes downtime by monitoring processing operation and associated equipment as scheduled; conduct minor equipment repairs and refer major repairs to shift supervision or maintenance personnel.
• Generates maintenance work orders
• Maintains and advances technical skills, knowledge and abilities by assigned training.

• Works in a safe manner and considers safety in all aspects of job.

What we’re looking for in you:

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Forklift Experience required
• Required to work 12-hour work days and weekends on a rotating schedule
• Ability to read/write English to complete paperwork and interpret procedures; good verbal communication skills
• Must be detail oriented
• Strong leadership and computer skills
• Experience in a regulated industry
