Role Purpose****
Provide support to the APAC HCP Engagement team to plan, manage and execute major international events. Assists with the organizing of digital events to support HCP engagement activities and identifies cost-effective processes and resources allocation for events (event categorization, budget management etc) across Region/International.
Role Responsibilities
- Develops and communicates a yearly Event Strategy Plan for Region/International, setting directions, identifying key regional/international events, defining roles and responsibilities, allocating resources, developing and reinforcing processes with the countries and key functional partners.
- Supports the negotiation of best locations and rates for all major events including hotel contract negotiation, meeting space, logistics and regional/HQ communication.
- Tradeshows Management and External Customer Event Engagement: In close collaboration with Countries and Finances, identify attendees to regional/international tradeshows needs and provide central services to the countries for guests housing and registrations; Organize training and side meetings, social events; In conjunction with local marketing, lead and manage regional events (project management, booth design); Estimate and monitor overall events tradeshows attendees budget and report to Regional and International presidents.
- Understands the emerging digital needs and how best to manage them in a cost-effective and efficient way. Align the necessary resources and budgets to be able to serve these needs. Work closely with country teams, APAC Digital Center of Excellence (COE), Finance and customers to deliver the best outcomes for Boston Scientific.
- Events (Sales meetings, President Club, key internal events): Supports Sales Meeting strategy and options for Regional/International meetings; Manage and execute all other key Regional/International events program including - but not limited to -: High Performance Meetings, Sales Management Meeting.
- Work closely with the APAC IT and Digital COE teams to set up the right infrastructure for use of vendors and assets for digital engagement. Help create a common and easy to use platform for the country and regional teams to be able to leverage. Over time, evaluate the best use of budgets against the quality, speed and effectiveness of these digital infrastructure solutions.
- Key Processes: Evaluate, select and manage vendors that directly impact Regional/International Event activities; Consider ROO & ROI projects for each event; Constantly anticipate and review processes to adapt and to change according to evolving organization needs; Ensures all business activities comply with legal requirements, ethical standards and Code of Conduct; Ensures all in-country Event related projects adhere to BSC corporate standards and comply with Regulatory procedures.
- Establish processes for digital engagements with respect to both Tradeshows and Events management. Make the process easier for the countries to leverage the APAC infrastructure and contribute to the overall Digital COE.
- Digitalization: Flawlessly execute on digital engagements at tradeshows and other events. Explore and understand digital options, technologies and capabilities that can be leveraged by BSC to enhance customer engagements. Run digital pilot programs through working with IT and Digital COE to test new methods of digital engagement. Coordinate with different stakeholders for implementation of digital infrastructure projects.
Role Requirements
- Business Degree, with 5+ years of relevant experience in Marketing Events planning and Marketing.
- Proven ability to drive results through geographical/matrix and virtual teams
- Demonstrated presence, thought leadership; proven ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders across a broad range of organizational levels internally and externally.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness/resilience and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to move seamlessly back and forth between planning and execution.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage technology to problem-solve
- Knowledge of latest developments in digital engagements tools and platforms are a plus.
- Fluency in English language
