The Brand Planning & Insights team is seeking a Manager to support the Brand department’s efforts to build out a new planning consultancy to help our Line of Business (LOB) partners develop and maintain marketing plans that drive business outcomes. In this role, you’ll work with business and marketing partners as a planning SME, and, as needed, support/facilitate LOB and Channel interactions in service of those plans.

What you’ll do:

• Develop strong working relationships with key LOBs and operate from a position of deeply understanding their goals and objectives—i.e., we succeed if they succeed.

• Consult with LOB Marketing and Channel partners on the development and refinement of marketing plans & objectives

• Partner with Brand Insights and LOB Business/Marketing partners to identify research needs to inform marketing planning.

• Partner with Brand Insights to enable leaders to assess progress towards marketing goals and reprioritize future investments by facilitating the collection of key metrics, LOB marketing activity, and marketplace activity/context.

• Support Brand department strategy projects, many of which will provide leaders and associates with the knowledge, rules, and resources needed to effectively build the Capital One brand.

• This role is currently an individual contributor

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience

• At least 5 years of experience in a marketing strategy, planning or consulting role

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience working with a Fortune 500 brand

• Experience operating within a matrixed organization and successfully navigating white space
