    Responsibilities:

    • Advise and consult with the Velocity Black business and product teams and other key stakeholders to help develop well-designed products, processes, and supporting technologies and implement risk management practices; support our business partners to drive the risk/return trade-off decisions

    • Have an opportunity to support a fast growing business through product development lifecycle from ideation to execution, (domestic and international)

    • Partner closely with the Velocity Black Well Managed and Operations team to lead and deliver on our well-managed agenda

    • Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, independently and with team collaboration

    • Analyze data to proactively identify risks and trends

    • Stay abreast of the changing regulatory environment and understand the impacts to the business areas that you support

    • Lead ad-hoc projects to improve processes or control environment to mitigate risks (e.g. execution errors)

    • Participate in or lead risk forums and contribute to continuous improvement of risk management practices

    • Support, partner and interact with internal business clients

    • Set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams

    Basic Qualifications:

    • At least 3 years of Financial Services Compliance experience, Risk Management experience or Card services experience

    • At least 2 years of Project Management experience

    • At least 2 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk

    • 1+ years experience working in an Agile environment

    • Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)

    • Lean, Agile, Six Sigma or Business Process Management

    • PMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM)
