As an Individual Contributor within the Data Protection Product team, you will help provide the Subject Matter Expertise necessary to ensure continuous improvement of our operational functions aligned with Incident response and Exception management.
Responsibilities Include:
Understand and optimize our DLP detective, investigative and remediation workflows.
Partner with the larger Cyber ecosystem to identify, clarify, prioritize, and take ownership of root cause remediation.
Deliver effective communication of important topics, risks, and issues to relevant business stakeholders.
Analyze the output from Data Protection and Data Loss Prevention Operational processes to extract meaningful insight that you will use to drive product-wide improvement.
Coordinate cross functional interactions to derive and execute on necessary root cause solutioning against identified Data Loss findings.
Drive continuous improvement of the Data Protection program through strategic planning, strong governance practices, thoughtful engagement with business partners, and development of a thorough understanding of business practices to identify data loss concerns.
Create and maintain documentation related to operational Processes, Procedures, and Solutions; this may include conceptual, and logical diagrams; procedural documents; job aids; write ups on technical capabilities and solution configurations; etc.

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 3 years of experience in Cyber Security or Information Security Risk Management.
Experience working with at least one enterprise data protection technology: Data Loss Protection (DLP), User Behavior Analytics (UBA), Role Based Access Entitlement or SIEM Logging solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
1+ year of experience developing and responding to DLP alerts
1+ year of experience working with a Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)
1+ year of experience with Agile process, JIRA stories and reports
1+ year of experience in DevOps and CI/CD
1+ year of experience in Exception Management
One or more security related professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, GIAC (various), CISM, CCSP, CISA, AWS Security, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect)

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Location is New York City: $156,596 - $184,748 for Prin Assoc, Cyber Technical; $190,950 - $225,278 for Manager, Cyber TechnicalLocation is San Francisco, California: $165,896 - $195,720 for Prin Assoc, Cyber Technical; $202,297 - $238,665 for Manager, Cyber TechnicalRemote roles in other areas of New York & California, and across Colorado & Washington: $132,699 - $156,555 for Prin Assoc, Cyber Technical; $161,847 $190,943 for Manager, Cyber Technical
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
