This role is within the Data Program Office (DPO) supporting Program Governance and Oversight for DPO led initiatives in Enterprise Data. Our team is fast paced and composed of motivated team members. We are seeking a Project Manager who has a risk and oversight background that is highly organized and process focused who will support well-managed delivery on some of Capital One's top data-related priorities. This person will require excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and can adapt to change quickly. They will be working horizontally with all lines of business.
General Responsibilities:
Delivering projects/programs with moderate to high levels of complexity and guiding cross-functional project teams to deliver well managed results across the organization
Maintain and facilitate program standards, practices, and governance
Ensure programs are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk
Partnering cross-functionally with program stakeholders to track and report progress
Collaborating with workstream leadership to manage program project plans and identify dependencies in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements
Engage with Program senior leadership by providing critical communications and reporting to maintain visibility to program initiatives and to help identify and influence where leadership decisions and prioritization are needed
Leverage problem solving and influencing skills to ensure program governance and oversight are effective, scalable, and implemented as appropriate
Build relationships and collaborating with key workstream and line of business stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
Gather data and reporting; perform initial analysis or potentially evaluate data provided by team analysts
Design, implement, enhance internal governance processes
Serving as a change champion and challenger
Helping programs plan and execute change management
Identifying and solving for blind spots and risks that could impact execution
Partner with risk advisors, business, and tech to respond internal and external audit requests
Develop program management playbooks to help drive program delivery
Design, implement, enhance team operational tools, templates, and processes
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
At least 4 Years Project Management experience
At least 3 years of experience using Microsoft Office or G Suite products
Preferred Qualifications:
6+ years of Project Management experience
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem solving and influencing skills
Strong data analytical skills
Strong risk, audit, oversight skills
Strong understanding of Jira, Confluence, and project management software
