Total Rewards Marketing & Associate Experience team is seeking a Senior Associate, Copywriting & Design. Benefits and Compensation play a critical role in helping us achieve our mission of delivering Total Rewards that attract the best people to join and stay with Capital One and empower them to live their best lives. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and work closely with peers and the Total Rewards Team to create on-brand communications and marketing materials that drive associate engagement with, and understanding of, our benefits and compensation programs.
Responsibilities for the role include:
Creating engaging, on-brand associate-facing communications across various channels to help Capital One associates understand and make the most of their Total Rewards products and offerings, including emails, print and digital marketing materials, as well as content on our intranet and other digital communication platforms that support Total Rewards
Partnering with Total Rewards product owners to collect appropriate data and product information for Capital One award submissions
Designing simple, on-brand marketing materials in a variety of channels, e.g. infographics, banners, email, web & mobile design, occasional logos, and some layout and print design
Editing and refining both written and visual communications to ensure a consistent look, feel and tone across all Total Rewards communications
Supporting the Total Rewards leadership team, in partnership with the Chief of Staff team, on communications for the internal Total Rewards team
Working effectively with stakeholders to gain appropriate review and sign-offs
Reviewing marketing materials from vendors to ensure brand consistency
Measuring performance of communications based on key metrics and recommend refinement to communications strategies, messaging and channels/forums
Delivering communications through our internal channels and monitoring the results
Serving as an active member of the HR brand/communications community
This role is for you if you are:
Passionate about improving the work/life experience of 50,000 associates and their families by creating engaging, integrated, and well-designed content
Someone who can tell a story through communications with strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to write within an established voice/tone
Energized by using data and associate insights research to influence communications, finding ways to improve associate understanding of, and engagement with, our benefits and compensation programs
A collaborator, who enjoys iterating with a fast-paced cross-functional team and has strong skills in consensus building, influencing, teamwork and collaboration
Someone who takes initiative, isn’t afraid to fail, asks thoughtful questions, and constantly seeks better ways of working and communicating
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 2 years of experience in marketing or advertising communications or a combination
At least 2 years of experience with professional design software (Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma)
At least 2 years of experience creating visual communications and content
At least 1 year of experience in project or process management or a combination
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s in Communications, Design, or related field
At least 2 years of experience with Google Suite, email marketing platforms (Poppulo or LumApps intranet), and HTML or a combination
At least 2 years of experience in Total Rewards (Benefits or Compensation) or HR or healthcare or financial marketing or a combination
At least 2 years of experience communicating within Fortune 500 organizations related to pay and benefits
