We are looking for a creative, analytical Digital Search & Affiliate Senior Marketing Manager to lead the paid search & affiliate marketing efforts for our Retail Bank division. This role will drive a cross-functional, cross-platform roadmap to accelerate our marketing efforts and be a critical contributor to a rapidly growing digital marketing program. You will be a leader of a dedicated team aligned to these channels and you will work closely with internal & external partners to drive growth, pulling many different levers to grow the program (channel innovation, optimization strategies, audiences, creative, landing experience, customer journey, etc.).
This highly visible, strategic leadership role will focus on scaling paid search & affiliate strategies across the Bank brand and portfolio of products, fueling business growth. This lead will oversee the development, execution & optimizations of the paid search and affiliate strategies. They will also own the budget and testing roadmaps to maximize channel performance to scale continued growth. In addition, this lead will be responsible for building a vision and long term roadmap for their team’s continued growth and success.
This leader will also be responsible for the identification and development of top digital marketing talent. Being a strong people leader with a track record of talent development will be critical to their success in this role.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience translating performance data into actionable digital marketing strategies, navigating matrixed organizations, managing significant budgets focused on business outcomes and working with both internal partners and media agencies to see their vision through to market.
To be successful, the paid search & affiliate lead will need to thrive working in white space, building powerful cross-functional relationships and turning analytics into actionable marketing strategies. This position can be located in: New York, Wilmington, McLean and Richmond while offering a flexible work environment and schedule.
Responsibilities:
Lead prioritization, development and execution of a strategic marketing agenda to attract, engage, and convert prospects through paid search & affiliate marketing
Drive testing strategies to inform bidding, targeting, creative, & landing page optimization that engage consumers and drive business results.
Oversee paid search & affiliate channels, and their budgets, ensuring the channel strategies are aligned to business priorities and campaigns are efficient and effective
Steward the maintenance and monitoring of our channel efforts with agency and internal team members
Keep pace with industry trends and best practices to drive channel innovation
Act as a go-to paid search & affiliate expert for internal teams, democratizing insights and learnings
Serve as a people leader to those on their team, focusing on associate development, coaching, role definition & career pathing
Introduce new opportunities to drive business growth in an efficient & profitable manner

Is a collaborative team player, able to effectively communicate with their team and partners as well as leadership and stakeholders with a tailored approach for all
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
At least 8 years experience in PPC SEM using search management platforms
At least 8 years of experience in the Affiliate marketing field including publisher & content management
At least 5 years of experience with marketing analytics and optimization
At least 5 years experience managing large scale budgets
At least 5 years of experience with analytics platforms Google Analytics and Data Studio
At least 5 years of People Leader experience
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of agency or agency management experience
3+ years of channel experience in paid social, display, retargeting, media buying, or landing page optimization programs
3+ years of marketing experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry
3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity
AdWords or Bing certifications

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Location is New York City: $172,900 - $197,300 for Sr. Manager, Marketing
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
