A Senior Platform Engineer is responsible for the configuration and troubleshooting of performance management solutions to meet the Capital One's business and technical requirements. In this role, the Senior Platform Engineer acts as the primary technical contact with full ownership of the plan. Responsibilities in this role also include supporting and troubleshooting solutions for customers in a live production environment. Additionally, you may also work within the software implementation lifecycle, from requirements gathering, design, build, testing and go-live. The Senior Platform Engineer will work as a mentor to junior team members while carrying out the tasks to perform investigations, root cause analysis, and defect resolution with multiple lines of business including Design, build, maintain, and extend data models within Varicent Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) platform.
Responsibilities & Expectations:

Business knowledge of the sales compensation business processes
Knowledge of software development and implementation lifecycles
Derive and understand business needs and document findings
Plan and execute appropriate testing (e.g. test plans, test cases, and test scripts) to comprehensively test assigned enhancements to business applications
Review and analyze application performance, to provide enhancement recommendations and process improvements
Support and maintain existing ICM applications - troubleshoot and fix defects, perform maintenance activities
Assist in planning and organizing tasks, report task progress, coordinate with team members during implementation.

At least 5 years of experience using Varicent ICM modules (Composer, Scheduler, Workflow, Portal Access, Reporting including Presenter Adaptive reports)
At least 5 years of experience using SQL
At least 1 year of experience with Agile development
4+ years of experience with Jira
4+ years of experience with Confluence
6+ years of experience of Varicent ICM modules (Composer, Scheduler, Workflow, Portal Access, Reporting including Presenter Adaptive reports)
3+ years of experience with Agile Development
6+ years of experience using SQL

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Location is New York City: $131,400 - $150,000 for Senior Platform EngineerLocation is San Francisco, California: $139,200 - $158,900 for Senior Platform EngineerRemote roles in other areas of New York & California, and across Colorado & Washington: $111,400 - $127,200 for Senior Platform Engineer
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
