In this role, you will develop new techniques and standards to maximize profitability for a category of capital services and equipment, identify strategic category opportunities, develop an overall procurement management framework and lead execution by the buyers. You will solve complex problems and take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. You will develop and collaborate on all aspects of capital procurement activities and contracting.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and maintain category expertise, serve as consultant to management, cultivate positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders that include industry partners, suppliers and business stakeholders.
Use specialized depth and breadth of experience to lead and implement capital procurement strategies for defined projects in alignment with global and regional dynamic business needs.
Lead major contracting workshops
Lead major negotiations with key suppliers and contractors and serve as source for the organization on major capex packages, plans and objectives.
Lead the communication of category management vision and objectives internally and externally by engagement of senior stakeholders for alignment.
Develop solutions to complex problems in procurement strategies which requires the regular use of ingenuity and innovation and ensure solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
Coach our buying teams in delivering coherent and successful action plan.
You will work under minimal supervision and independently handle complex issues while referring only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.

This position is preferred to work from a Cargill office in Wichita, KS or Wayzata, MN . However, a remote home-office location could be arranged to be located within the United States.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of four years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Confirmed financial, mathematical, modeling and analytical skills
Experience in leading regional projects
Experience in supplier management programs with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals and improvement initiatives
Experience in market analytics
Experience in construction contract delivery and compensation methods
Experience in major capital projects
Master's degree or other post-secondary degree or an MBA
Six years of experience in supply chain or procurement
Compensation Informartion
The expected salary for this position is $80,000-$122,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
