Data Platform Architect - Advisor (Open to Remote) - NA

Key Accountabilities

• Provide advanced knowledge and thought leadership to drive the execution of the technology vision and strategy for engineering.
• Provide technical leadership and influence the use of software development and infrastructure as code practices to build the platforms, systems and infrastructure.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, support and enhance the highly complex automated infrastructure and platform components.
• Provide expert leadership across multiple engineering teams to resolve highly complex problems and remove road blocks.
• Participate in the engineering community by being a coach and mentor to engineers, share new technical trends and modern skills and present code best practices.
• Leads development of target state architecture while gaining alignment and support from various stakeholders.
• Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of six years of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Cloud platform expertise as a thought leader and practitioner

• Proficient in creating practical multi-layered architecture diagrams

• Experience in translate business needs into technical architectures, satisfying functional and non-functional requirements

• Demonstrates skill in creating technical roadmaps to achieve target state architecture

• Big Data experience leveraging a variety of cloud technologies to acquire and transform data for real time advanced analytics.

• Proficient with containerization technologies such as Docker, Mesos, Kubernetes

• Proficient platform engineering of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka, Impala, etc…

• Experienced with data engineering practices around data collection, organization, and integration

• Demonstrated skill at data cleansing, data quality assessment, and data management

• Knowledge in optimal computational environment requirements for data processing, data mining and machining

• Experience evaluating, deploying, and utilizing platforms and technologies which support SDLC leveraging CI/CD principles

• At least 4 years of experience architecting cloud technologies and platforms for enterprise scale and complexity

• Confirmed experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling to drive infrastructure code deployment

• Compensation
  • The expected salary for this position is $157 - 175K. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
