• Formulating long and short-term procurement strategies by identifying gaps in demand and supply of commodities in various regions of India.
• Collaborate with various teams such as manufacturing, supply chain, transportation and logistics, quality assurance to ensure efficient execution.
• Plan purchases and transportation to maximize profitable use of stock and storage facilities.
• Research and analyze various freight opportunities in the marketplace to maximize margin.
• Work with customers, suppliers and business counterparts to meet their needs in solving routine problems and addressing complaints and concerns.
• Build strong supplier relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of six -eight years of related work experience.
• Other minimum qualifications may apply.
Preferred Qualifications
• At least 8 years of experience in macro commodity sourcing / trading (De Oiled Rice Bran, , Oil Seeds, Rice Items, Soya, etc. ).
• Expertise in commodity negotiation and procurement management in the Dairy Feed sector.
• Demonstrated proficiency in navigating market dynamics, trends and competitor analysis.
• Analyzing domestic and international markets for making effective buying decisions.
• Led negotiations with suppliers, securing favorable contracts and terms to enhance overall procurement efficiency.
• Strong analytical abilities coupled with excellent communication skills.
