  • GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

This Carrier 3PL Site Liaison represents Carrier on behalf of senior logistics leadership for Carrier RLCS North America HVAC. This position is responsible for the key performance reporting and analytics for the 3rd party logistics supplier responsible for managing the logistics operation in San Antonio, TX. As the Carrier representative physically located on-site, this role will obtain performance metrics and quantitative data from the 3rd party provider, validate stated performance with physical observations and compare results to Carrier performance targets; analyze and communicate gaps to Carrier senior leadership for subsequent performance management improvements actioned by senior leadership

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Conduct distributor and channel partner onsite tours
  • Obtain and disseminate KPI performance results
    • Inbound (yard condition, aging, shuttle turns)
    • Outbound (provider empties, drop and hook pace, pickups, load by date/time)
  • Warehouse
      • Work in queue
      • Priorities in queue
      • Missed priorities
      • KPIs
    • Inventory vs capacity
    • Cost Productivity
  • Labor
      • Turnover
      • Open positions
    • Future headcount requirements
  • Quality
      • Rework productivity
    • Support supply replenishments

TYPICAL EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

BA/BS degree w/ 3+ years’ warehouse operations experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a warehouse operations environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Result oriented with the ability to multitask and handle deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Lean or Sigma and continuous improvement principles preferred
  • Demonstrate sound analytical skills
  • Ability to achieve performance through others; team player
  • Ability to effectively work cross-functionally with various groups including Quality, Finance, 3rd party logistics teams, HR, EH&S, etc
