Position Title -

Sr Engineer - MBD

Role Summary/Purpose

An energetic person who is capable of applying model-based design and verification tools and methods to create the next generation of control solutions for a full range of HVAC equipment and systems.

Essential Responsibilities

• Work closely with global & local team to ensure controls system requirements are captured, structured, and modeled
• Design and implement control algorithms via a rigorous analytical approach based on the MATLAB/Simulink platform
• Follow standard procedures to automatically generate embedded code from models for specific embedded platforms.
• Use standard model-based verification tools and infrastructure including model-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop, and hardware-in-the-loop simulation to validate the control software
• Able to verify the control software in lab and support field trial
• Take the initiative to identify and advocate for continuous improvement in our processes and tools

REQUIRED SKILLS

Qualifications: BE/ME or BTech/MTech – Electronics/Electrical/Control Systems with 4+ years of experience in below areas:-

• Knowledge of dynamic system simulation of controls and equipment using physics-based or data-driven models
• Knowledge of feedback control theory and application.
• Demonstrated skills in control system algorithm development and implementation into an embedded platform
• Proficiency in use of MATLAB/Simulink or similar tool for control design, verification, and code generation
• Demonstrated use of model-based verification techniques

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Knowledge of Simulink toolboxes Stateflow, Simulink Test, Simulink Check, Simulink Coverage
• Knowledge of HW/SW embedded control system architectures
• Knowledge of software languages (C, C++) and reuse principles
• Use and familiarity with version control principles and tools such as Git
• Use and familiarity requirements management and traceability to models
