Principal Responsibilities:
Possesses complete technical competence in all Automated Logic Building Automation systems and the ability to resolve or guide others through very complex problem resolution. Team Leader of Field Engineers. Customer interaction is in-depth and proactive to include a complete understanding of systems and the foresight to recommend and plan for enhancements. Mentors less experienced Field Supervisors in all areas of their development.
Essential Functions:
Startup, commission, and re-commission customer Building Automation Systems
Provides solutions to very complex systems problems either troubleshooting the system or advising others on how to resolve problems. Works with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
Be able to provide turnkey project delivery on medium to large projects
Complex AHUs (Multi-Zone/VFD/Mult-coil)
Complex CW systems (Redundant/Pri-Sec Loops)
Sequenced HW Systems with 3 or more boilers
Third-Party Integration Expert
3rd party networks
Complete all required commissioning documentation. Maintains accurate As-Built drawing package and makes changes in EDS, Visio, Excel, and Word, as required.
Completes paperwork on time including timesheets, expense reports, posting of work orders, on-site documentation, and project status reports
Responsible for total system operation from controllers to sensors, loading software, interfacing with third-party systems, Setting up trends, alarms, and reports and working with customer IT personnel, etc. Calibrates systems require basic electronic test equipment, such as multi-meters, network terminals, and/ or a laptop computer.
Performs static (stand-alone) and dynamic (total building interactive network) commissioning of software programming.
Performs site-specific training for owner/operator on the total system.
Responsible for the setup of operator workstations with all associated software.
Responsible for performing job database backups on a daily basis or as advised.
Assists with the turnover to service.
Mentors and develops Field Engineers' on-field tools and technology. Serves as a technical resource. Will likely assist sales in the development of cost estimates on complex projects.
Communicates with customers upon arrival and before leaving the worksite. Tracks and records job progress and keep the customer informed on progress. Reviews customers’ systems and, if needed, point out areas of improvement and scope issues to the project manager. Keeps project management apprised of customer concerns and issues.
Adheres to safety standards. A high degree of regard for employee and subcontractor safety.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
The team leader is able to assist Field Supervisor in mentoring and managing FEs.
Must have a thorough understanding of systems software to write or recommend modifications to logic as needed.
Able to create, download, and troubleshoot complex HVAC system logic using WebCTRL and associated software. Proficient with all WebCTRL software functions and utilities.
Communicates issues with the Project Manager and Field Supervisor on a timely basis.
Expert with all WebCTRL software functions and utilities.
Expert on all 3rd party integrations (BACnet, LON, Modbus, N2, etc.)
Advance knowledge of TCP/IP networks including wireless technology, layout, and troubleshooting.
Must be well organized with good time management skills. This position requires excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work and lead well in a team environment
Able to present technical information to a non-technical audience.
Able to read and understand Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical blueprints.
Proficient with Microsoft software products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power BI
Expert working knowledge of Automated Logic hardware and software.
Possesses an excellent understanding of the operation and control of mechanical/electrical equipment and their control sequences.
Possess computer and networking skills to properly maintain their laptop as well as experienced in the commissioning of Ethernet and ARC Net communications.
Requires passion and dedication to providing the customer with innovative and superior building automation systems and outstanding customer service.
Strong background in mechanical and HVAC system operation and design.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma, Associates Degree, or Technical School in the HVAC industry with a minimum of 10 years experience in the HVAC controls industry.
Experience interacting with a large and diverse number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines.
Possess and maintain a valid and current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.
Ability to travel in excess of 50% of a typical workweek, including air travel, overnight hotel stays, and unexpected travel as well as participate in rotating on-call schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Electronics, or IT.
Field experience and a complete understanding of the installation and operation of Automated Logic Controls and knowledge and understanding of third-party control systems and integrations.
Experience with Automated Logic and Phoenix software including WebCtrl, SiteBuilder, ViewBuilder, LogicBuilder, InterOp 3.02, Alert, Draw, EDB, Eikon, Supervision, and Accel Works.
