Primary Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Regional O&M Manager, the Maintenance Technician will:

  • Perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance and repair of CHP equipment including engine generators, HRSGs, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and ancillary systems as required
  • Assist with the development and implementation of short-term and long-term maintenance plans
  • Communicate with customer operations personnel about planned and unplanned  
  • Coordinate third-party contractors providing direct maintenance support
  • Make use of safe working practices in compliance with NORESCO and Base EHS Policies including daily planning meetings; LOTO; safety audits; and storage and disposal of hazardous waste materials in compliance with company and facility EHS policies and procedures. 
  • Manage and administer data, records, and log information regarding equipment histories, condition assessments, calibrations, and other work associated with CHP equipment into CMMS. Create and close CMMS work orders as required.
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly logs and reports (i.e., unit conditions, maintenance, operations, performance, and downtime)
  • Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, fluids, and other supplies for plant maintenance
  • Order/purchase materials and supplies as required
  • Review information from oil samples, vibration data, service reports, operating reports, maintenance histories, and OEM recommendations to propose and schedule equipment and component replacements
  • Support development and implementation of improvement programs and monitor KPI’s to gauge success of the project.

Required Experience, Education & Licensure

  • Five years of maintenance experience with industrial equipment, particularly reciprocating engine generators and CHP facility equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution abilities
  • Must have a strong commitment to safety and actively participate in safety training.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), MS Word, and Excel a plus.

Pay Range:

$18.33 - $45.83 per hour
