    Carrier is looking for a high-potential candidate to join our team as Business Enterprise Master Data Steward. The Enterprise Master Data steward will be a member of a new Enterprise Master Data Governance (MDG) Team and will follow the enterprise data standards and quality strategy to support multi-year strategic objectives.

    This role requires strong skills in review of business data profiling, business field mapping, and migration of data from Legacy ERP to S/4 HANA platform. Ensures data stays in sync with defined standards, policies and quality requirements and validates and measures data quality, integrity, accuracy, and consistency in the systems, while monitoring and resolving interface issues. This is a business-facing role, which requires a significant level of interaction with both technical and business affiliates at multiple levels, as well as several IT constituents and data owners.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Drive to standardize enterprise Master Data at Carrier. Consistent business master data is a foundational enabler and key accelerator to the corporation’s multi-year strategic objectives

    • Responsible for business data migration(cleansing) activities and ongoing data MDG enablement for the Finance domain or Customer and Vendor domains

    • Works with global businesses to ensure the integrity of master data

    • Review delivered data profiling results and work with business and IT stakeholders to make necessary remediation.

    • Recommend consistent business naming standards for use across the Organization; develop data definitions and standard business rules.

    • Assist or support IT team to implement capabilities (e.g. MDG + Workflow) and use automation where possible

    • Performs data validation testing and periodic auditing for data quality

    • Workings independently and free from direct oversight

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree (Finance related or IT)

    • 5+ years’ experience including involvement with data governance

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree or Accounting Certification a plus

    • Experience with SAP or JDE preferred

    • Project team system implementation experience preferred

    • Exceptional understanding of data governance functions including data stewardship, data quality, data architecture, data modeling, master and reference data, data security, and data integration.

    • Experience using any master data management tool or creating master data in ERPs

    • Good understanding of business partner data model -Vendor and Customer or finance data model, and how technology can enable them

    • Proven ability to partner effectively with technology teams, such as legacy ERP IT, S/4 HANA, JDE, Oracle teams to coordinate on detailed data needs. 

    • Self-directed, team player, and results-oriented with proven business acumen.

    • Strong attention to detail, with ability to balance multiple priorities.

    • Ability to identify, clarify, and resolve issues and risks, escalating them as needed
