    About the role

    We have an exciting opportunity to join our Project Management Team in to support our Carrier functional organizations through their transformation journey.  We are looking for someone who can bring project management expertise and capabilities to strengthen this skill set in the organization.

    We are seeking a Project Manager who is responsible to lead projects of varying complexity. Leading a project would entail to define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects. The incumbent will coordinate the successful execution of the functional transformation by identifying and engaging stakeholders through the journey.

    In performing this role, Project Manager will be expected to blend traditional project management principles and practices with an agile development approach in the right proportions to fit the projects.

    Key responsibilities are:

    • Being part of the Operations Strategy, responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned project transformations and be able to own and coordinate the associated project plan for successful execution
    • Demonstrate broad knowledge of project management tools and processes
    • Coordinate with functional/BU stakeholders to maintain and adjust on a transformation roadmap based on business needs
    • Understand and use our Passport management process.
    • Project management
    • Create, track and maintain project plan to support transformation roadmap
    • Can establish a team (work breakdown structure) of qualified people to execute the project.
    • Perform the overall day-to-day management of multiple projects to ensure that project objectives are achieved within time/cost/quality constraints
    • Responsible for project documentation including project plan and weekly status reports
    • Report project progress on a regular basis to ensure the project’s overall direction and integrity
    • Perform management of the risks of the project, including the development of contingency plans
    • Manage project scope and change control and escalate issues where necessary
    • Ensure project objectives are understood and met, ensuring that the Project Team members understand the requirements
    • Ensure all stakeholders are adequately consulted or engaged on key deliverables for their respective functional area

    Requirements:

    • University degree or college diploma in business or related area
    • 7+ years of proven track record of successful project management in a complex, matrixed environment with multi-functional, global teams
    • Experience and exposure with PMO tools (e.g. Project Scheduling Tools, Resource Planning, Risk Registers, RAIL)
    • Competent user of Microsoft Office Tools such as Excel, Word, Visio
    • Extremely organized with superior follow-up and follow through
    • Exceptional communication skills and ability to tailor communications to audiences at all levels, including senior leadership
    • Excellent English speaking and writing skills
    • Highly self-motivated and self-directed
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, global environment
