    About this role

    The Project Manager is the team leader of the project execution team, with the responsibility to bring projects on-line on time, within budget, and with a high level of customer satisfaction.  This includes scheduling and coordinating all construction resources (internal and external) necessary for project execution and financial management of the project.  Internal resources include application engineers, programmers, and field engineers.  External resources include product procurement from vendors, and negotiating and managing electrical subcontractors.  Financial management includes billings, change orders, cash flow, estimate at completion and revenue forecasting.

    This role is a hybrid role with visits to customers’ sites and spending time in the Pittsburgh facility and in a home office.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage projects following project processes and provide direction to Project Engineers
    • Complete projects per the contractual requirements within budget, on-time and with a high level of customer satisfaction
    • Responsible for the overall financial performance of assigned projects including project planning, cash flow, billing, revenue forecasting, A/R collections and re-estimating costs of installation projects
    • Manage the delivery of the contracted scope and secure change orders for the expansion of scope
    • Coordinate project materials and the use of shared resources; identify resource constraints, and assist with corrective action plans to remedy any issues
    • Manage relationships with sub-contractors, identifying issues, and take corrective actions to remedy any issues
    • Provide necessary documentation and effective communication to customers and sub-contractors
    • Lead, mentor and train the project execution team

    Basic Qualifications

    • High School diploma
    • 5 years plus Building Automation System experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

    • BA/BS degree
    • 2 years plus project management experience
    • Prior experience in Construction, HVAC and/or Building Automation
    • Demonstrated knowledge of project financial reporting
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, Access and other Windows products
    • Ability to lead and motivate teams
    • Strong problem solving, planning and project management skills
    • Ability to read and understand scope of work
    • Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills
    • General knowledge of employment laws and practices
