Position Summary

Responsible for providing support to the hospitality team for all culinary experiences by washing and cleaning all dishes associated with meal prep, cooking and food service.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.

• Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.

• Prepare simple dishes such as salads, charcutier boards, etc.

• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces and storage areas, taking out trash, sweep and mopping the walk-in, etc.

• Responsible for leading, unloading and operating the dishwasher.

• Report any issues or problems with the machinery used to wash dishes.

• Store cleaned dishes back in appropriate place in the kitchen.

• Clean the dishwashing area & turn off equipment at the end of shift.

• Report any issues or problems with the machinery used to wash dishes.

• Dispose contents in green compost buckets at the end of the shift into large compost bin outside.

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions.

• Attention to detail and cleanliness.

• Ability to work weekends & evenings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen as a dishwasher

• High School diploma preferred or equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Physical Requirements:

• Able to sit or stand for long periods of time. 

• Able to regularly grasp, lift and/or carry, push, pull, or otherwise, move objects up to 55 pounds.

• Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and bending are required.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Work Environment: 

• Working conditions at an event may require the employee to be outside for extended periods of time and/or occasionally in a kitchen with slippery floors.

• Irregular shifts, nights, weekends, and long hours may be required, particularly when working an event. 

• Exposure to outdoor environment factors (e.g., heat, rain, wind, sun).

The pay rate for this role is $20.00 - $22.00. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
