    Position summary

    le is pivotal in providing timely, insightful data for leadership reports and strategic decision-making, particularly in portfolio and capital planning.

    What you'll do:

    • Data Analysis: Utilize analytical techniques to conduct prescriptive, diagnostic, descriptive, and predictive data analysis on diverse construction-related data, incorporating data from Quickbase, eBuilder, SAP, and Google Sheets.

    • Dashboard Development: Support in the development of and/or develop interactive charts and dashboards that provide real-time insights into construction project data. Ensure these charts and dashboards are user-friendly, intuitive, and deliver essential information to project stakeholders.

    • Leadership Reporting: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for the leadership team, highlighting crucial performance indicators, program and project status, and emerging trends. Translate complex data into practical, actionable insights, incorporating earned value measurement concepts to evaluate project performance.

    • Capital Planning Support: Provide support for annual capital planning by conducting comprehensive analysis of historical data, program and project costs, and resource allocation. Offer valuable insights to enhance financial planning and resource allocation.

    • Portfolio Planning Assistance: Collaborate on portfolio planning efforts by identifying optimization opportunities, resource allocation improvements, and strategic direction recommendations. Deliver data-driven insights that inform program and project decisions and enhance the efficiency of project portfolio management.

    • Data Management: Assist in managing and maintaining substantial volumes of construction-related data. Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility, implementing data cleaning and transformation processes as needed.

    • Strategic Forecasting: Assist in the development of strategic forecasts for construction projects, leveraging data analytics to identify trends and make informed predictions about future outcomes. Must be able to provide appropriate levels of detail, and also be able to summarize complex issues succinctly.

    • Business Intelligence: Assist in providing data-driven insights that support critical business decisions, helping to improve operational efficiency and profitability. Assist in applying program management skills to coordinate and oversee multiple projects, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.

    • Collaboration with Partner Teams: Collaborate closely with the Senior Construction Business Intelligence Data Analyst and other data analysts from partner teams to create a culture of cooperation and shared insights. Share best practices, work collectively to enhance data-driven decision-making, and align efforts across various projects and portfolios.

    • Create monthly and quarterly reporting for the strategy board.

    • Extensive knowledge in SQL to create data scripts for connecting disparate data.

    What you'll need:

    Bachelor's Degree preferred with 10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

    Experience with analyzing information and interest in solving problems collaboratively.

    Experience in data scripting, data visualization techniques, and data governance.

    Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a demonstrated commitment to data-driven decision-making.

    Ability to understand construction project workflows, including the ability to read and interpret Lucid Charts and to translate that into connected data.

    No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

    Ability and interest in operating in environments that have a large degree of ambiguity.

    Demonstrated ability in project management processes, tools and techniques.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build and maintain effective professional and client relationships.

    A self-motivated, proactive work style, with the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a remote team environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Intermediate skills with Google Suite preferred.

    PMO experience and/or working with construction project data preferred.

    Work Environment:

    This is a client-facing role requiring occasional travel to client sites.

    The role is part of a highly matrixed organization where collaboration and influencing skills are critical for success.

    Flexibility to work across different time zones as needed to support global initiatives.

    CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Construction Business Intelligence Data Analyst position is $125,000.00 annually [or $60.09 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Construction Business Intelligence Data Analyst is $147,000.00 annually [or $70.67 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
