Position summary

The Marketing Delivery team brings the marketing strategies and plans to life for the customer by becoming experts in effectively executing outbound marketing content and messaging. This team distributes all activities in the marketing plan to customers using the pre-selected marketing channel, including events. They support cross-marketing functions by facilitating traditional project management and providing collateral to the CDW Sales team. This team will oversee and enforce governance, helping to ensure that agreed upon principles and guidelines are taught, communicated, understood and adhered to. This team will also support the technology requirements of the marketing organization, managing rollouts, upgrades, etc.

The Product Specialist position is a key liaison between our Marketing, Product Management and partners. This team is responsible for merchandising products throughout various marketing vehicles, including catalogs, direct mail, and online advertising.

Rolling up to the Product Merchandising Supervisor, this coworker is responsible for determining the product placement in all marketing activities.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Execute marketing plans within an assigned product category.
    Ad unit merchandising and content review of various marketing vehicles (catalogs, e-commerce, direct mail, ETC.)
  • Manage products within an assigned product category.
  • Monitor product velocity, oversee accurate product information and identify customer needs.
  • Act as the subject matter expert in assigned product category.
  • Interface with vendors to develop and enhance the marketing of product(s) or product line(s).
  • Collaborate with vendors on new product launches.
  • Keep current on rebates and promotional offers for a specific product category

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years experience in marketing, advertising or purchasing

Other Required Qualifications

  • Proven history of taking initiative, with the ability to work independently with little direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders including management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of personal computing technology and products
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and web browsing
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to the changing needs of the business
  • Proven organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet scheduled deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in BtoB marketplace
  • Presentation Skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand in a stationary position 85% of the time
  • Ability to move around the office(s) across campus to access meetings, office equipment
  • Ability to constantly operate a laptop, and other office equipment such as a calculator, phone, printers, and other office equipment as needed
