Business Transformation is a strategic group focused on driving change to CDW's operating model to drive efficiency, increase effectiveness, and improve customer experience. This group supports various business stakeholders across the organization to accelerate growth and deliver on a portfolio of opportunities and projects.
The Senior Analyst, Business Transformation, will aid in opportunity assessments, business case development, and create metrics and analytics to track the success of multiple projects.
The position will report to the Manager of Business Transformation and work closely with them as well as various business leaders to support initiatives that drives growth and profitability, cost savings, and business transformation efforts across CDW.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Provides timely, insightful, actionable, and accurate financial reporting, high-level analysis, and recommendations aimed at categorizing the potential benefit/value for multiple project ideas aimed at enhancing CDW's bottom line
- Develop business cases defined with clear scope, target audience, intended outcomes, quantifiable results, impacts, and rationales.
- Assemble and deliver ongoing communication to key stakeholders at all levels around the progress and results that the Business Transformation team is driving.
- Prepare analysis to support the development of a project road map by prioritizing initiatives and capture results based on timeline.

- Gather and validate assumptions through data to ensure benefit can be realized
Financial Modeling and Analysis Specific:
Performs monthly tracking and analysis of cross functional initiative's financial performance to measure expense and savings on a profit and loss statement (P&L), cash flow impact, working capital impact, or productivity benefit. This includes working with initiative owners and executive leadership to assist them in understanding results
- Utilizes complex financial models to provide insight on performance targets, future net benefits, and return on investment (ROI)
- Applies modeling best practices and effectively communicates analysis
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
External candidates:
4+ years of experience related to supporting sales operations, business analytics, finance, and/or information technology
Prior experience with data visualization, data preparation, and analytics tools
Internal candidates:
3 years CDW experience
Other Required Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
- Capable of taking granular level detail and communicating information at a high level
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of finance concepts, principles and practices, and the ability to apply them
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities demonstrating adaptability in meeting prioritized deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications with strong experience in Excel
- Demonstrated ability to effectively present data to stakeholders for full scenario understanding
- Track record of identifying process improvements and making appropriate recommendations
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of all financial statements profit & loss (P&L), balance sheet, and cash flow
- Good knowledge of financial software tools such as PeopleSoft, Essbase, and Hyperion
- CPA or MBA
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Tableau, PowerBi, or Alteryx experience
