Reporting to the Commercial Relations Director, the National Sales Manager is principally responsible for the management and success of our highly motivated field and indoor sales and account management team. Leading the team, you will be responsible for customer acquisition, retention and development activity to achieve our sales revenue and gross profit plans. The National Sales Manager role co-ordinates activity across the business that drives customer centric solutions via retention, cross selling and brand-new business across product verticals that create a one stop shop for our valued customers. A role that will provide you with every opportunity through innovation to shape our current and future success utilising your experience and flair, becoming a valuable member of a cross functional, collaborative leadership team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Business Development team through empowerment, motivation, coaching, accountability, and performance management.

  • Setting KPI's for new business, growth within existing customers and retention.

  • Supporting face to face customer meetings with the Sales team

  • As a Leadership team member, contribute to and support the wider strategic development of MWIAH.

  • Contract negotiation

  • Identify, develop and implement strategic initiatives and support's MWI's long range plan

  • In conjunction with the Commercial Relations Director, develop and deliver our customer and sales strategy to support achievement of the MWI OI plan.

  • Advocate for our customers within the business with operational, customer solutions and shared services functions.

  • Manage and support customer facing projects.

  • Forecast annual plan for OPEX, sales revenue and gross profit.

  • Understand and comply with job relevant Companies Practice Standards at all times.

  • Understand the Companies standard operating procedures and attend training sessions as appropriate.

Experience, skills and knowledge requirements:

  • B2B experience with National / Global Blue Chip Companies (Retail / E-commerce background advantageous)

  • Commercial acumen.

  • Negotiation skills.

  • Good presentation and organisational skills.

  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Experience in management of customer facing teams.

  • Experience in dealing with senior decision makers.

Experience, skills and knowledge requirements:

  • Proven and extensive experience in a similar role

  • Proven commercial acumen.

  • Proven negotiation skills.

  • Good presentation and organisational skills.

  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
