Position summary

ake a customer view to develop & assess options in response to specific business opportunities, to deliver the optimum end-to-end Supply Chain value for our customers.

Operating as a key part of the Senior Operations Team, the CDC Support Manager takes a regional lead and has line manager responsibility for Cross Dock Centre Managers in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.

Working as part of a matrix management structure, the CDC Support Manager understands both the retail and medical distribution networks and identifies synergies, opportunities in efficiency and initiates projects to realise these benefits.

Plays an active role in communicating and presenting to senior leaders and the Alliance Healthcare Directorate.

Presents monthly to the Central Operations team on all agreed objectives and creates improvement plans to drive the service.

Monthly meetings and daily BAU contact with associated Alliance Healthcare Service Centres to continually improve and realise local opportunities.

Ensures applicable MHRA and GDP guidelines are adhered to and the CA/PA process is followed at all sites.

Works with project sponsors & key stakeholders to ensure required outcomes are agreed and achieved to time and budget. Understands and creates project plans to implement change (on a national scale if required), involving key stakeholders to deliver business improvement.

Manage relevant interfaces with key service providers and customers.

Ensure reporting on network performance and status is completed for all sites at agreed intervals to standard.

Monitors national compliance to standard operating procedures and feeds into the national business intelligence suite.

Provide effective leadership and motivation through regular team briefings Provide prompt feedback to queries raised by all customers and stakeholders for service issues.

Ensure the maintenance of warehouse optimisation activities to reduce Inbound and Outbound costs and maximise efficiency.

Ensure that all H&S requirements are in place and holds the site teams to account on delivery of these standards. Ensures that good and standard colleague welfare facilities are in place in all sites. Ensure that statutory requirements of all regulatory bodies are complied with.

Recruit, train and develop all direct reports,leagues to develop a culture of

continuous improvement across the CDC Network and making recommendations to National CDC Manager and Senior Management Teams for Alliance Healthcare.

What your background should look like

This is a field based role and will require regular travel throughout the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. All management roles within the Alliance Healthcare Operation will need to be "on call" for emergency response. All

management roles within the Cross Dock Centre Operation will need to participate a weekend working rota when required An agreed element of flexibility may be required.

Any prior knowledge of the following would be highly advantageous:
Multi-site direct line management. Cross Dock Operations MHRA and GDP knowledge. CPC holder. Knowledge of the Alliance Healthcare and Boots retail network Budgetary responsibility (creation and management) Inventory Procedures and audit Security Procedures
