Position summary


  • Prepares monthly & annual estimate, and long-range financial plans, including related summary commentary and variance analysis

  • Assist in preparation of monthly reporting packages and other business presentations as required

  • Assist with modelling value propositions of new investments

  • Analyze customer, product and/or transaction level details to identify trends, variance drivers and forecast revision needs

  • Evaluate, estimate & analyze financial & operational impacts of new business prospects

  • Prepares and presents monthly financial analysis and reports to commercial leaders and senior finance leadership

  • Strive for continuous process improvement in assigned areas

  • Assist with expense general ledger coding to ensure the maintenance of solution level P&Ls

  • Assist with month-end close and allocation processes

  • Generate ad hoc analysis reports as needed

  • Performa related duties as assigned

What your background should look like

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of four (4) to six (6) years directly related and progressively responsible experience. Experience with Baan General Ledger System is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of financial processes and systems

  • Robust knowledge of data analysis, data mining tools including data warehouse applications, SAP, Hyperion, MS Excel, SQL and other query & reporting tools

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Ability to follow and interpret profit and loss statements

  • Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

  • Knowledge of various financial management areas such as credit and collection principles, commercial credit, uniform commercial code, financial statement analysis, business law, plan development, productivity and profitability analysis.

  • Working knowledge of accounting
