Position Description
As a Golang developer, you will contribute to generating high quality backend code while creating a more efficient and balanced workflow. You will also inherit/define reusable functions to build the application more efficiently.
Role can be performed in Bloomfield, CT or Lafayette, LA.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Build and scale high quality APIs and microservices in Golang to power our Digital platform
• Expertise in the full suite of Go frameworks and tools
• Understanding of Go Routine and Channel patterns.
• Experience using and creating APIs, and/or experience working with microservice architectures.
• Familiarity with REST API and web service development and standard processes
• Experience with database systems (SQL/ No-SQL)
• Work closely with scrum masters, PMs, QA and development teams to organize agile delivery.
• Understands Agile delivery methods and has experience working in a SCRUM environment.
• Proven collaboration skills; demonstrating ability to pull a diverse group of individuals with different goals together and facilitate productive discussions. Capable of driving decisions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. Ability and willingness to support systems or other functions when necessary for the good of the project.
• Strong time management skills; highly organized and detail oriented. Able to prioritize and complete tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Should have the eye for business to engage in customer discussions with product owners, business leads and program managers
• Knowledge of the Healthcare industry and Mobile/Web technologies is helpful.
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science preferred

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• At least 4-5 years of experience working with the Go programming language.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $74,600 - 143,700.
