CGI is looking for a dedicated, driven, and experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance Leader to our Chattanooga, TN team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class IT company, for a permanent position solving exciting business and technical problems by providing leading IT services to our local enterprise clients. The Software Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for leading the quality assurance process on strategic client engagements. This includes developing quality assurance strategies and plans, leading quality assurance testing efforts, collaborating with functional and technical teams, and reporting results to internal and client senior management. Initial focus is a complex, multi-year project replacing a core enterprise system with a modern cloud-based solution. Tired of the same old thing?     Your future duties and responsibilities

    • Collaborate with team members to find better, more efficient ways of doing things

    • Design test strategies, plans, scenarios, scripts and procedures based on manual test plans, using industry standard testing methodologies, processes, and tools

    • Lead the creation of comprehensive test plans and test artifacts, demonstrating software documentation such as requirements specifications, design documents, and user manuals

    • Lead on-site and remote teams in order to support all facets of testing: functional, regression, load and system testing, taking part in every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle

    • Ensure that all test items follow established change management processes and are tested and tracked using the project’s test management software

    • Solve daring business and technical problems

    • Provide proactive mentorship to other quality assurance analysts and participate in training classes, engineering reviews, and our mentor program

    Required qualifications to be successful in this role

    • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or another degree demonstrating technical/process capability

    • Demonstrable ability to ensure appropriate testing coverage and requirements traceability through the creation, implementation and improvement of comprehensive test plans, test cases/user stories, test steps and test automation

    • Proficient in developing test cases for software applications, business intelligence, and data solutions such as ETL and system integration

    • Experience identifying gaps and deficiencies in business requirements, technical specifications, designs and testing documentation for completeness and testability

    • Highly motivated to deliver excellent service to our clients and ensure their happiness

    • Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork skills

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $74,600 - $165,300.
