You will lead key programs, such as the Chewy Health Student Ambassador Program and the Chewy Veterinary Leaders Program, while also forging new relationships with strategic veterinary technician schools. In addition, you will serve as Chewy Health's representative at student-facing events and programs, building strong connections early in veterinary professionals' careers. Does this sound like you? What You'll Do
Partner with Director of Veterinary Relations on team member outreach and relationship management, especially at key external meetings and events.
Develop and implement academic outreach strategies in collaboration with the Director of Veterinary Relations, focusing on veterinary schools, veterinary technician programs, and student organizations.
Be the face of Chewy Health within the student community, serving as a key spokesperson for Chewy Health's student-facing communication channels and initiatives as well as non-student facing opportunities as needed.
Build and further strategic relationships with veterinary student groups and academic institutions, using Chewy Health sponsorships to engage meaningfully with students and position Chewy Health as a trusted partner in their early careers.
Lead the Chewy Health Student Ambassador Program, handling a network of ambassadors and investments across veterinary schools, analyzing results, and making data-driven recommendations to expand the program nationwide.
Lead all aspects of the Chewy Veterinary Leaders Program, Chewy Health's flagship scholarship and mentorship initiative, ensuring its continued impact and success for veterinary students.
Be a great partner with key student groups, including the Student AVMA, Veterinary Business Management Association, and other student organizations.
Establish Chewy Health's relationship with key veterinary technician schools, creating engagement opportunities with academic institutions and students.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Chewy Healthcare, Marketing, and other internal teams on projects that elevate Chewy Health's visibility and influence in the veterinary education space, including a speaker's bureau for student-facing opportunities.
What You'll Need
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT) degree, or other veterinary experience with 7+ years of experience, including clinical practice and exposure to veterinary education.
A genuine passion for working with veterinary and veterinary technician student populations.
Exceptional organization skills and comfortable with ambiguity.
Proven ability to build and sustain relationships within the veterinary community, with a track record of influencing and engaging diverse audiences.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to represent Chewy Health's mission and values at academic institutions, conferences, and student events.
Experience working in a fast-paced, self-starter environment where innovation and agility are key.
Willingness to travel up to 35% for conferences, school visits, and student engagement events.
Compensation & Benefits:
Our salary range for a Senior Veterinary Relations Manager position is $110,500.00 - $176,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k, and a new hire and annual equity grant.
