    Position summary

    cluding identification and assessment of risks of alternate courses of action

    • Advise both employees and management regarding Employee Relations policies procedures, and documentation

    • Research, identify, and analyze specific Employee Relations concerns and make appropriate recommendations to resolve Employee Relations matters

    • Create reports and conduct internal audits as they pertain to Employee Relations data and processes while proactively identifying themes/trends

    • Review Internal Website for Employee Relations policies and ensure website information is up-to date

    • Conduct training for leadership and staff on civility and other employment law matters

    • Discuss confidential information with leadership, legal, and the Talent Consulting Team to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, rules, and agency policies

    • Advise on the uniform and consistent administration and interpretation of employment policies and procedures

    • Provide advice, coaching and ongoing training on the Civility Policy and process framework

    • Partner with Legal, Talent Consultants and Talent Acquisition on appointed projects

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree

    • 3 years of relevant work experience

    • Demonstrated knowledge and application of Title VII, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, STAA, harassment & retaliation, workers' compensation statutes in workplace setting

    • Written communication skills in the development of reports, guidelines, and written summaries

    • Ability to consult with all levels of staff using a multi-HR-faceted approach to problem solving

    • Ability to listen with patience and respond to high level, controversial issues utilizing good judgement

    • Ability to use tact and diplomacy in resolving sensitive issues

    • Ability to prioritize, work independently and time manage work assignments

    • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders

    • Ability to develop collaborative and innovative solutions around Employee Relations issues and practices

    • Demonstrated skills in negotiation, facilitation, and mediation

    • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations

    • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues

    • Strong knowledge of ADA, FLSA, and other employment compliance and regulation

    • Experience handling high volume investigations including field investigations

    • Ability to prepare and present training programs and materials

    • Strong problem-solving skills

    • Ability to coach and develop leaders at all levels on effective employee relations

    • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge

    Preferred Qualifications

    • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP preferred

    • Prior experience working in restaurant or other hospitality industry
