The Accountant position is an experienced role that works closely with others on the global accounting teams and business stakeholders to produce accurate, timely, and relevant financial information. In this position, you will prepare, analyze, and review accounting details from multiple systems to identify and resolve differences in a timely manner. If you have effective communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a solution-oriented approach to ensure operational excellence and a commitment to best practice, then this might be the role for you! This role also takes part in the financial reporting process.
This role will offer hybrid flexibility, allowing you to work from home and in office.
Responsibilities:
Follows company accounting policy and best practices to ensure compliance
Executes accounting operations inside Oracle GL and proprietary software environments
Prepares source system and subledger tie-outs to identify and resolve differences
Prepares account reconciliations monthly including proposing journal entries to resolve differences in a timely manner
Prepares journal entries, compiles and analyzes accounting activities and balances to support the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of internal management reporting and external financial statements
Supports and executes internal controls
Assists with external audit requests
Coordinates accounting matters with peers at a corporate and regional accounting level
Responds to queries, advises on solutions and advocates for best practice with business partners
Actively participates in team and corporate learning opportunities and initiatives
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Oracle Financials Cloud and other cloud-based Oracle solutions or similar ERP platforms
Experience working with multiple currencies
Strong communication & interpersonal skills
Accountability to protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Comfort working with large datasets
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
Ability to work well within a team
Ability to motivate and encourage change, able to achieve positive results in a very large, dispersed organization
