Robinson is seeking a Corporate Financial Analyst on our growing Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, to provide valuable decision and planning support to business units and shared services leadership. In this role, you will support the creation of business cases on key initiatives and act as a partner in forecasting and planning for an area of the business. Responsibilities:
Execute annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes in support of a cross-functional leader
Consult and guide business partners on budgeting and forecast outcomes guidelines, philosophy, and approach
Support and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide guidance and data-driven recommendations on financial planning and strategic decisions
Uses financial information to see the big picture and how it impacts C.H. Robinson and specific stakeholders and creates scenarios to drive financial planning and strategic decisions
Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reports and works with stakeholders on questions and requests
Use month-end financial information from the Finance team to aid in preparation of monthly variance analysis and insights
Act as key partner to stakeholders in the analysis of results
Make recommendations with regard to financial management of the business
Perform cash flow analysis and financial modeling for key projects to understand return-on-investment (ROI) and financial projections for key projects
Perform analysis to highlight key, actionable areas for improvement
Identify and make data-driven recommendations regarding business decisions and financial plans
Execute process improvement initiatives to key financial planning and analysis activities, including end user tools and resources
Lead ad hoc FP&A projects as requested
Manage the implementation of reporting and analytical tools ensuring stakeholders are equipped with the necessary information to make informed business and financial decisions
Partner with corporate finance organization to build and enhance reporting and analytical tools
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related major
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Financial Planning & Analysis and/or other Finance-related roles
Ability to travel up to 10% (domestically and internationally)
Preferred Qualifications:
Data analytics, financial analysis, and accounting skills
Experience with finance technology – i.e., Oracle, Essbase, TM1
Proficient in Excel and model building
Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to effectively influence and consult with multiple stakeholders at a variety of levels
Proven ability to coach and develop more junior staff members
Team oriented and thrives in a collaborative environment
Deadline and time management oriented and able to manage multiple competing priorities
Thrives working autonomously in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, results-oriented environment
