What You'll Do

You will be working as a front-end developer on the Observability team which supports all Platform Services and Infrastructure. Our goal is to design and develop the world-class observability layer, streamline, and standardize all monitoring, metrics, logs, traces and alerting to reduce time to root cause, improve service health, and provide a single pane of glass system that scales with our business. You will be engaged in design and development of microservices based web apps, from layout to function and according to the specifications. Integrating data from various back-end services and databases using industry standard SAML/Dual authentication model.

Who You Are

• You love creating things that are aesthetically pleasing, you have an eye for reducing clutter and streamlining the users experience throughout your applications using industry standard UI specifications.
• You strive to understand the workflow and navigation path that users will take and design simplistic, user-friendly front end.
• You fully understand cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
• You have deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular and/or React frameworks and API's.
• You have deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST), ajax and event driven functional flows etc.
• You must be familiar with various design patterns and their implementations.
• Familiarity of design and development of REST APIs using python and backend databases such as Postgres/MYSQL would be a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile development principles
• You must have experience working in a distributed environment with effective communication/collaboration skills.
• Strong desire to understand the business problems that our technology is created to solve
• Work with Engineering customers to understand new requirements and address them in a scalable and efficient manner

Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering, IT practices, etc., or equivalent practical experience, and the desire to learn continuously once on-board
• 8+ yrs. of experience designing and building secure web applications.
• 6+ yrs. of hands-on experience in JavaScript (ES6), HTML5, CSS, experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, AngularJS, Vue)
• 2+ yrs. of SAML/DUO based integrations experience to provide seamless user-experience of cross domain applications.
• Experience in UX design patterns and effective applications of those in real time applications.
• Experience in functional, non-functional, end-2-end testing and usage of modern testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Mocha, or Chai)
• Experience in using JMeter or any other automation tools for web application testing is a plus.
• Deep understanding of design patterns (e.g. MVC), front-end architecture, and data-driven development
• Ability to work with engineers from across the organization to develop the most seamless user experience
• Experience with GraphQL/PLSQL/NOSQL backend databases.
• Practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies
• Experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) and infrastructure as code (IaC).
